4月14日,同济大学“法国高中生跨文化体验营”在中法中心开幕。来自法国利摩日圣约翰高中的21名学生及2名教师参与本次活动。同济大学外事办公室、留学生办公室及中法工程和管理学院代表出席开幕式。
开幕式上,外事办公室副主任曲辰向法国师生介绍了同济大学的办学特色及国际合作成果。留学生办公室方笑枝老师介绍了“留学同济”即学校的国际交流项目及奖学金政策。中法工程和管理学院兰枫老师(Paloma Lafon)则详细解读了跨文化体验营的详细日程安排与注意事项。
仪式结束后,师生们参观了同济大学校史馆,深入了解学校的百年发展历程与卓越成就。
同济大学“法国高中生跨文化体验营”是对2024年教育部“3年1万,欧洲翻番”倡议的具体回应。体验营由中法工程和管理学院在外事办指导下举办,在为期两周的访学期间,法国师生将访问土木工程学院、建筑与城市规划学院、设计与创意学院,并参与汉语课程、企业参访及文化体验等活动。体验营不仅为法国学生提供了感知中国文化与现代发展的窗口,也为他们探索同济大学的优势学科、激发学术兴趣搭建了桥梁。
Tongji University-France High School Students Cross-Cultural Experience Camp Successfully Kicks Off
On April 14, the Tongji University-France High School Students Cross-Cultural Experience Camp opened at the Sino-French Center. The event was attended by 21 students and two teachers from Lycée Saint-Jean in Limoges, France. Representatives from Tongji University’s Foreign Affairs Office, International Student Office, and the Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management were present at the opening ceremony.
During the ceremony, QU Chen, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, introduced the distinctive educational features and international cooperation achievements of Tongji University. FANG Xiaozhi from the International Student Office presented the Study at Tongji program, detailing the university’s international exchange initiatives and scholarship policies. Meanwhile, Paloma Lafon from the Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management provided a comprehensive overview of the camp’s schedule and key considerations.
Following the ceremony, the French delegation visited the Tongji University History Museum, gaining an in-depth understanding of the institution’s century-long development and outstanding accomplishments.
The Cross-Cultural Experience Camp for French High School Students at Tongji University is a concrete response to the Chinese Ministry of Education’s 2024 initiative of 30,000 European students in China within three years, doubling the numbers.
During the two-week study visit, the French teachers and students will visit the College of Civil Engineering, the College of Architecture and Urban Planning, and the College of Design and Innovation. They will also participate in Chinese language courses, corporate visits, and cultural experiences. Organized by the Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management under the guidance of the Office of International Affairs, this experience camp not only offers French students a window into Chinese culture and modern development but also serves as a bridge for them to explore Tongji’s leading academic disciplines and ignite their academic interests.
